Services: Feasibility Study
The project “Preparation of Feasibility Study related to reconstruction and extension/construction and equipping of current/new Technical – economic Block (TEB) of the University Clinical Centre of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka“ was implemented in the period October 2018-April 2019.
The existing medical institutions within the University Clinical Centre of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka are: Central Medical Block (CMB), Maternity Ward, Clinic for Infective Diseases, CMB-South Wing, CMB-North Wing and the Technical-economic block (TEB).
The TEB supplies the above institutions with: energy (hot water for heating, steam, sanitary water, a water cooling and air conditioning), medical gases, compressed air for technical and medical purposes, hospital food cooking, hospital linen washing, drying and pressing, maintenance, administrative offices, storages etc. Due to the decade long use and structural wear and tear, the existing condition of the TEB requires a complete reconstruction. The roofs leak, the walls are damaged due to damp, the floors are destroyed due to constant use of the structure, etc. Majority of equipment installed in the TEB is 40 years old and at the end of its life, some of the equipment is not working at all, due to poor maintenance, etc.
This Feasibility Study should help the Client to decide how to proceed with:
- reconstruction-extension of the existing building of a Technical-Economic Block, or
- to construct new building of a Technical-Economic Block (TEB) and
- to equip the TEB with new reliable equipment to fit increased energy and other needs of above institutions. This Feasibility Study elaborated on the technical, economic, and legal feasibility of the options.
