State Hospital Graz - Paediatric Surgery - Enlargement Nursing Station West

Project Details:

Sector(s): Healthcare

Client: Styrian Hospital Holding

Services:  Project management, design co-ordination, construction site coordination

Completion: 2009

The Graz Children Hospital and the Paediatric Surgery West comprises a total of 15 nursing rooms, each measuring 19.0 m². The rooms consist of a “service and living zone” each with a children’s bed and a companion bed. By shifting the two zones, an intimate area was created for the companion, and not visible from the ward corridor, without restricting the nursing staff’s view of the patient. The new nursing station in the west wing (old nurses’ wing) was built as an extension over the roof on the 4th floor.
